DVD 2: Verdi: La Traviata Kristiane Kaiser, Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra, Ernst Mrzendorfer; 'La Traviata' remains to this day the most beloved of all Verdi's operas and is represented here by a fascinating live performance from the Roman quarry of St. Margarethen.
DVD 3: Puccini: Tosca, Maria Guleghina, Chorus and Orchestra of the Teatro alla Scala, Riccardo Muti; the revival of Luca Ronconi's production of Puccini's 'Tosca' was a highly acclaimed theatrical event which was recorded live at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan. It is sung by an international cast including Maria Guleghina and directed by Riccardo Muti.
DVD 4: Cilea: Adriana Lecouvreur, Sergei Larin, Giorgio Giuseppini, Chorus and Orchestra of the Teatro alla Scala, Roberto Rizzi Brignoli. Under the baton of Roberto Rizzi Brignoli, a new generation of singers gave fresh life to Cilea's most polished work - Adriana Lecouvreur. Daniela Dess 'touched the audence's heart' (La Nazione) and is joined by two of the finest singers on today's international stage: Sergei Larin and Olga Borodina.
